The Briançonnais offers an incredible choice of itineraries for any road bike enthusiast, with a landscape full of contrasts, from small winding roads to large balconies, via the climbs and descents of the most famous passes in cycling history.
The Galibier andIzoard are the most famous, but the fearsome Granon can easily rival them! The Echelle and Montgenèvre passes , on the border with Italy, are also a cyclist's dream.

Gateway to the TOUR DE FRANCE 2024
After setting off from Italy, the riders will attack the first French passes through the Hautes-Alpes on July 2! For the 4th stage from Pinerolo to Valloire, the cyclists will cross the Franco-Italian border to descend to Briançon via the Montgenèvre pass, before crossing the Serre Chevalier valley from end to end. The Lautaret and Galibier passes (altitude 2642 m) then await them before the descent into Valloire.
